Intermittents are often hard to track down. You didn't say how it
behaved in its initial failures to start. Now there's no click and only
the sound of the fuel pump; was that the case the other times it failed to
start? Given the history that you relate, I'd be suspecting the ignition
switch about now. But you need a voltmeter check of where the power is
getting to, before just replacing more parts. If voltage appears at the
starter solenoid when you turn the key, the problem is in the solenoid or
the starting motor itself, new or not.
