I bought one from catalog (I'm not sure it's the same one as you mention) that I don't know if they still show -- but it is two pieces. One is a mount that sticks into the middle and effectively covers a part of the SID readout (where the clock is) and also covers a good amount of the vent right there. Then there is another piece that is a cradle -- and that either glues on (peel off the sticky stuff) or screws onto the mount - I went with the sticky.

I don't really like this solution, mainly because it blocks my SID readout. I don't miss the air it blocks too much. Another thing is the cradle is a bit too big for my Nokia 8260 phone, which is one of the smaller ones around -- it holds it but not too tightly, and has fallen out when I've hit large bumps. Let's just say I have 2 9-5's, and have only did this in one, while I search for a better solution.

But if memory serves me correctly, I remember seeing the one you mention, but discounted it because of the fact that I already try and keep passengers as close to their door as possible because it is so damn easy to hit the key in the crazy place they stick it! To have to worry about their feet too would have me too distracted. Plus I think that one required some permanent type of attachment (screw in somewhere?) that I didn't want to do because I lease.

I don't want the integrated solution, since I have 3 different people who drive my 2 cars, all with different phones, and plus I don't want my conversations to be heard by anyone who I may happen to have in the car at any given time.

Unfortunately, the cradle/charger combinations that allow for private hands free operation need to plug into the cig lighter -- and the shift on my automatic bangs right into the contraption, making it bad also. What I really need for this is some time of very flexible adapter that can get the power up and away from the shifter! I've tried a few, but nothing can get it to where I need it to be! So I'm stuck for the time being.

Anyone know of a flexible cig lighter adapter that can move the power away from the bad location it is in and is strong enough to hold a charger/cradle combo?
