Maybe someday you'll be able to set your cell phone to call forward to your car's number, and the handheld and your car's calling plan will be integrated. Unfortunately, I use the phone too much, no one could know whether I'm in the car or out of it, so they'd never know which number to call. Plus, from what I saw, Onstar's calling plans are not really competitively priced. I thought it was more like an insurance policy -- you pre-buy some minutes and use them sparingly, or during an emergency and you are in a dead zone for your hand-held, but thankfully Onstar's is working. I'm glad to hear this works for you. I actually love Onstar for all its other features (there have been some rather interesting threads on this a week or two ago).
I actually like the look of this Cellport product that another respondent mentioned. Since I still have 2 1/2 years left on my leases, the work may be worth it. But my particular phone isn't supported by Cellport until December -- still might be worth the wait, but then again, I haven't priced it out, either -- might have some sticker shock on the way! Then I'll be back to square one.
Thanks for the feedback.
