I have the one shown in the catalogue and it works fine with little or no intrusion into the passenger area. I am not at all sure what mount the other guy is speaking of-doesn't even sound familiar. I also bought the cradle only to find that it doen not work well with my particular phone/PDA-Ericsson r380 world-so I ended up cannibalizing the mount from the cradle and buying an OEM phone holder for my phone and combining the two and they work great together. Did I mention I had to get the phone holder from Australia?! The plug (power source) is also OEM(as opposed to aftermarket) and is flat and extends to one side (like those flat electrical plugs) so it blocks nothing and is not at all in the way.
Should you decide to go with the phone mount in the catalogue, the first thing you should do is ignore the instructions about taking the engine out (just kidding, but they do want you to take the whole a/c unit apart)-totally unnecessary. You do have to take the side carpet down and cut a piece of plastic to expose the screw mounting hole, but if you are careful, you can slide the metal tabs that hold it in place under the wood trim without removing everything-just take it slow and easy and at approximately a 90% angle to the dash, it will work. There was a post several months ago that explained all of this in more detail. You may want to search for it.
