The milage a 2002 Vette V8 gets is little better
then what a 2002 Vette with a 1971 Vette engine would
get... sure... looks MPG
good on paper, but lets face it, no one drives
a car like the Vette around in 6th gear which
would take away all the fun! And also the Vette
is light and has little drag compared to most
other cars cause its LOW, so getting good milage
out of it, is not a problem... surprisingly.
Gime any VETTE and 100 miles of Bahn, I show you
how to get 6MPG out of it ;)
Now I am not saying that the Vette engine is bad,
in fact its very good for a V8 engine.
And even with snow tires, a V8 CTS which is RWD
will go nowhere in snow, while a FWD SAAB will be
much better.
So hehe, I rather keep cars equiped with the snowbunny
engine family, 16Vs and a Turbo... and AWD in one case ;)
BTW... the good OLD 1990 Lancia engine 2.0L 16V Turbo
had 380Hp in race trim, and 480 for the Pikes Peak
event of 1999.
Regards,
Coolknight
CIDs is cool, BOOST is great and both are heaven ;)
