after my last post on the new 9.5 and not able to post again after a friend posted for me i have to adnit to liking my 2000 over any other but caveats are abundant.

igot 64,000 mile son my first set of tires

at 23,000 miles i had to replace the second set (same michelin as oe)due to tire cupping

at 7,000 on third set i noticed tire cupping on inside rear tires .

had car aligned and discovered that you cannot align rear tires for camber .so ,after much research i found that the car ( as recorded in many web sites and the nhsta site ) as a serious engineering defect in the rear axle that causes the rear tires to cup

after $ 1500 in attempts to repair ,including the adding of shims 4 in total tot he rear tires to offset the camber issue it is not going away as i expected .

therefore the only solution for me is to discard the car or do what i am now doing
i.e.---no more roating tires --this makes the problem worse as it spreads to all tires

replace rear tires when the noise gets really bad
but buy less expensive tires with the full knowledge that the max. i will get from the is 15,000 miles
therefore two sets of rear tires for each set of front tires .

if you have this rear tire cupping problem ,or you see them in all tires ( as a result of rotating tires , i suggest that you do full research on the web ....and maybe adopt my strategy being the best solution.

there are no other solutions out there regardless of what they tell you.i have been thru it all.
