I would remove the controller when not towing. It seems it needs to be semi-afixed for the accelerometers to work. Perhaps I can velcro it to the carpet.
Don't I need brake light signal from in the cockpit versus pulling it off the 4-pin at the back?
Why do you say 1,500lb when Saab says 3,500lb with brakes? I'm targeting 2,500lb but that needs brakes and a controller unless I'm using a rental with surge brakes. I've towed about 2,000lb without brakes using a lighter car. It's OK until there's an emergency stop.
