One way check valve?/ Completed check for small vacuum leaks Posted by thetallguy [Email] (#1698) [Profile/Gallery] (more from thetallguy) on Tue, 19 Feb 2019 17:18:46 In Reply to: agree with careful check for small vacuum leaks, Mark in Marine [Profile/Gallery] , Sun, 17 Feb 2019 17:52:08 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Thank you for the replies. The vacuum lines are all silicone with no issues. However, in looking over the hard plastic emission lines, I discovered a smallish leak/damaged line on the one that runs to the King Cobra intake. The damage was around the check valve??/cylindrical object which is inline (is adjacent to the valve cover). It was slightly separated and had some heat damage. I would be interested in knowing if this is actually a one way check valve. I cannot think of a reason that it needs to be one way-mine flows both ways. I cut out the damaged portion of the line and repaired it with fuel injection hose. I will report back after I have some time to gather more "data".
