The pry bar I used was a large flat/wide type with a claw at the other end. A helper just needs to keep steady pressure on the bar and teeth. I did cut down a socket but,1-1/8" socket was the wrong size, Darn-it! Not much room in there to work, so I just used a long handle 1-1/16" wrench. To tighten I just had to pull really hard and that's all I could do to judge the torgue. A torque wrench can only be of use when the engine completely out of the car. I've already done this job on several c900 and haven't had any bolts come loose.
