Done most of the above, though used a different method (spraying carb cleaner) to check for vacuum leaks. I have an unused set of Bougicord wires on hand and plan to change the cap and rotor. Plugs are new, as is engine oil. I'll have to look into the cold-start temperature sensor. The chugging as the engine warms up though seems to be a classic AMM problem on these. For now I'll be happy if I can tweak it enough to get through inspection, I can life with the brief period of unsteadiness during warmup. I've done some more testing and posted the results.
