First, the legacy amps are 300W each but Legacy likes to indicate peak for a rating so RMS is probably 450w altogether.
Aaron, I am lazy and that is why I ran the wires down the center. But will reconsider when warmer wheather allows time outside
The sub overheats ("protection light") after 10-15 **minutes**. I split the power wire using Copper connecters, (a flat rectangle with a hole in the moddle) bolted the 3 (main +2 amp) power wires together, about 2 feet from the 2 amps.
Ground:In the past, I installed bolts thru the grounding plate of light board on the rear light to cure common grounding/picto problem. I have both lights connected together and grounded at the stock place (near the Left light). Now, I added an additional grounding wire to the grounding place (near Left light) on the body for the speaker amp and added a wire on the Right light for the SUB amp (right on the bolt mentioned above.
As for the sub set up. 2 4 ohm VCs. I tried stereo set up, it didn't sound right. I tried parrallel, sounded good but was told that its bad for AMP, low resistance=more current=burnt amp.
My main concern is to get the Sub to work well, i will deal with the whine later.
Thanks,
Roman
