The picture below just shows how I hooked up the pressure gauge. Ignore the gauge reading in the picture for purposes of this issue. I just wanted to show how the gauge was hooked up.
Here's what happens...
When I jump the terminals on the fuel pump relay to run the fuel pump, the gauge rises until I disconnect the jumper wire, so the fuel pump appears to be working fine. The pressure gauge gradually goes down after the pump is turned off, but it does hold pressure for a minute or so. With the pressure at about 1.5 bar, I lifted up on the air flow sensor plate and basically nothing comes out of the injectors. The tip of the injectors gets a little wet and that's about it.
Again, this is with a rebuild F.D. that I just installed. With the previous F.D., fuel was always dripping pretty fast out of a couple of the injectors, but that is no longer happening, but now I am trying to get the injectors to spray as they should, and I'm getting basically nothing from the injectors.
Does this mean I need to add shims to the pressure regulator in the F.D.? Is this "shim" procedure documented somewhere? Am I even on the right track here?
THANKS SO MUCH!
