That is the pressure impulse contact; the other end of the vacuum line connects to the tee-fitting where the brake booster vacuum line connects to the inlet manifold. The pressure impulse contact activates the cold start valve under load conditions when the engine has not yet fully warmed up. The cold start valve receives a +positive either when the starter is engaged or when the impulse contact is triggered. It receieves a -negative from the thermo switch located in the inlet manifold between the 2 center injectors.
