on the issue of emissions, take this as you will.
At 8:32 Sunday morning, May 18, 1980, Mount St. Helens erupted.
Throughout course of this erruption, more Sulfer Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, Green house gases, and generally nasty things were poofed into our atmosphere than humans could dream of producing. Today, the cloud of nasties produced by this eruption, and others around the world... of varying sizes, can be tracked and calculated. The eruption of Mount St. Helens along with the other active volcanos of the world are estimated to be far greater a polutters than all the vehicular emmissions created over the past century.
Pollution trhough volcanic eruption has been going on for as long as our planet has been around. Any patterns, or decay in our atmosphere must be part of naturl periodic cycles that our earth goes through. If you ask me, the worst destroyer of our earth is deforestation. now, don't point at the paper companies! If they deforest, and don't replant at least as much as they destroy. they go out of buisiness. In south america, genetic alterations have allowed trees to grow faster, thicker, and more abundantly in smaller areas.
drive a two-stroke, drive it fast, drive it with a smile. It's emissions are not the small, refined pollutants that float up up and away. they predominantly the big, fat, dense ones taht fall to the ground anyhow. Go get your warmed up stroker e-checked. then go get that P.O.S. Corsica from teh eighties taht smokes like a bandit e-checked. you'll be suprised.
