Well, it’s hard to say without seeing and feeling it, but I think you may have “mushroomed” the piston so that it is now swollen and wedged into the bore. I haven’t had a stroker apart since the mid 70s, but I think I remember that the piston tops are rounded so that they are high in the center. If so, this would contribute to the tendency to swell the piston. Of course if you were beating on the outside of the diameter, you would crush the ring land and jam the rings into the piston, so it’s pretty much a loosing proposition either way.
Given your description of how much and how hard you have been beating it, I assume you had no intention of using that piston. That being the case, and if you decide that you have swollen it, you might consider drilling several holes through it to relieve the tension. If you drill it, do it carefully so that you don’t mess up the rod or cylinder wall. Also, I strongly suggest that you avoid any temptation to bash on the crankshaft to push the piston back up the bore. Crankshafts are neither cheap nor common.
I suppose there is a small chance that you may get some relief by turning it upside down and filling the underside of the piston with ice water or dry ice for long enough to chill it down, and then beat on it some more. You might combine this with pouring hot water into the water jacket.
If it is stuck from corrosion, which doesn’t seem likely since you have already moved it, running through several heating and cooling cycles may help.
