in the NTC sensor plug. Start the engine. The radiator fan should run after a minute on low speed then switching to high speed. Temperature gauge should work. After removing resistor, fan should stop. Resistor should be obtainable at RadioShack. If no low speed, then low speed power resistor on fan housing may be blown out. Also could be corroded connectors, other wiring issues, high and low speed fan relays in fuse/relay box near brake master cylinder, or ICE module. Fan may also turn on unexpectedly after engine is turned off, so keep fingers away from fan blades.
