I don't know, it could be completely unrelated ! just a dastardly coincidence! we recall fr stats class at u of Az that " correlation does not mean causation!" 99% of heroin addicts drank milk as a child so of course, drinking milk as a child leads to heroin addiction! NOT! I have no idea who started this silly rumor but a properly designed functioning breather should NOT increase oil consumption! I've upgraded several 9-3 w/ the breather and it has no ill effect . this is silly rumor IMHO ! the breather was re- designed several X's by Saab, was a subject of a recall(s) you can usually dismiss these spastically silly roundabout rumor pathetic pearls of dubiously doubtfull whacky wisdom and giggly gross misinformation by consulting w/ someone who really knows what they're talking about ! At first blush, one should see WHO said this? I doubt their bonafides will check out! If so, however, I shall sit corrected! bo·na fi·des
