I would be far more concerned with the effects of the loss of engine oil that will surely occur during the self destruct process.
Eventually the internal damage will reach a point where the turbocharger shaft seals finally let go completely and engine oil will pour through them. Possible consequences:
1. If you don't notice the low oil pressure warning light and continue to operate the engine, serious damage will occur very quickly. The engine will probably seize (or at the least spin the crank bearings) within minutes - engine rebuild will be necessary.
2. Oil that leaks from the turbine end seal will enter the exhaust gas flow and be deposited in the catalytic converter - it will be destroyed.
3. On the other side, any oil that flows out of the compressor end seal will end up in the aftercooler. It will be coated and plugged up - maybe not destroyed - but it will require removal and extensive cleaning.
