I think we are getting closer in agreeing what is going on with 4 wire O2 sensor.
Now, here is my point.
An op amp connected in diff mode will always show a voltage to the ground, because the op amp will alway pick reference from a ground and so all its pins will have a ground voltage. So if you connect the sensor to the op amp it will alway show a ground voltage at its terminals.
However if you disconnect the sensor from the exhaust and with it connected to the op amp you will notice that there will not be any voltage between any sensor wires and the sensor body, but there will still be voltage between the wires and the op amp ground.
