As many of you know MS has dropped future development/support of IE. What if they next drop development/support of Office for Mac? What happens to Apple?
MS is insisting they are committed to Office on Mac but that instance is almost taking on a tone of denial. It is clear there will be at least one more major release so they aren't going to risk upsetting the boat before it has run it's lifecylcle. However, they have also have indicated that future development will be on a pure cost-profit analysis. Some speculate that in recent years MS efforts on Office for Mac have been in large part driven by anti-trust concerns and that these concerns no longer apply the extent they did in the past.
Given the importance of being able to run Office applications to many people, especially in business, would this pretty much doom Apple. Sure there are alternatives but alternatives aren't sufficient for the sort of operability many people need.
