Good quality paper air filters, especially OEM filters, have extremely low flow restriction already. They are also many times better at filtering out abrasive material.
You pay far more money for inferior performance in every way.
Many OEM air filters are oiled synthetic media and last for upwards of 60k miles. I also noticed new PureOne Purolator air filters at local stores that are inexpensive and seem to be of outstanding quality, also oiled media. Made in USA.
