there's nothing wrong with a 9/7 or the Envoy/Trailblazer. My employers have an Envoy which I drive for household errands. It's got about 125,000 miles, runs and drives great and seems to be pretty reliable. Fit, finish and materials are surprisingly good. In fact I would say the bodywork, and much of the interior (a few things seem kind of plasticy) are better than the 4 Runner they also have. The leather on the seats looks like new and they are in much better condition than the 4 Runners seats in spite of having twice the miles. After driving it quite a bit I'm favorably impresssed. It's just I'm not a sport-ute kind of person and I don't think most Saab owners are either. The Subaru Outback I bought is about as close as I get, and then only because I had to have 4x4 for my job. I guess the upshot is that if they wanted to appeal to Saab owners they might have made a different choice (the Tribeca would have been great).
