I work on both Macintosh and PC (as in Piece of Crap) computers every day, not to mention RS6000 and Unix. I'm typing this message on a PC but my preference is definitely for Mac. Many Macinstosh-bashers have never even laid their hands on an Apple product and that's really too bad. I like the elegant simple power of the Mac--just like my Viggen. If a PC were a car, it would be more like a Toyota Camry.
With regard to working files, there is virtually no difference whatsoever between the two platforms. Those who say otherwise are absolutely lying. There are some things that are easier to accomplish on the Mac (i.e. font management) but the quality difference is zero. All of the major software applications are virtually identical regardless of platform.
