A good coat of high percentage carnuba wax like Blitz, Meguiar's, etc, should last about two to three months if you wash once a week. There are a lot of factors which affect longevity of the wax layer such as the frequency of washing, the soap you use, the average temperature where you live, the time your car spends in the sun, etc. Basically, the wax coat will last longest on a frequently garaged white car in a cool climate that is washed with a car washing soap. The quickest way to remove wax is to use a dishwashing detergent or other harsh soap solution. If you live in a hot climate, like I do, you will have to wax more often because the wax will undergo sublimation or basically evaporate off the car in high temperatures. There are lots of interesting sites on the internet which discuss waxes, detailing and car care in general. Look around and check them out. Good luck.
