Just because you have been lucky for 13 years does NOT mean that the next time you crawl under your car the seals won't blow out on your hydraulic jack and the car will come down on your head.
An "accident" is really just bad planning. If you plan for the worst case scenario you will have a lot less risk. Please consider using jack stands routinely.
BTW, I have been crawling under cars and airplanes for 35 years and have always used jackstands. My head is still relatively round.
