As Kevin pointed out, you should make clear that you're looking for a chip for a car with the Lambda + catalytic converter. The manufacturer usually needs the exact codes printed on the ECU box and on the chip inside the ECU. Upgrades to the euro-spec LH and Lucas units are simple "chip-out-from-the socket, chip-in" operations, no soldering is necessary. Can't say for sure if the Lambda/cat + LH arrangement makes things more complicated.
Here are some companies, please don't flood them with enquiries :)
- BSR (Sweden), http://www.bsrab.se (only in swedish), email bsr@bsrab.se (they do speak english)
- Nordic Uhr (Sweden), http://www.nordicuhr.se (in english), represented in the US by Wigwam Saab. Nordic no longer advertises upgrades for the "old" Saabs, but should still be able to produce them. In fact the owner was sued to court by Saab automobile for violating their IPR's
- Chipcenter (Sweden), http://www.chipcenter.cc (in english)
- Turbotec (Finland), http://www.turbotec.com (in finnish only), email mika.karala@turbotec.com, see http://www.turbotec.com/karala/xchips/lista.htm for a list of available chips (scroll down for Saab and compare to your ECU #)
- Tuningchip (Sweden), http://www.tuningchip.com (in english)
That's for starters...
