If I had a dollar some one asked me if I was crazy for spending more money on a very old saab I wouldn't have to worry about it. I have owned 7 saabs, 2 SPG, 2 9000's, 1 Sonett, a 9-3se and a 9-5 Aero. I probably spent more on my SPG's and my 91 9KT then I spent on the 2000 Aero when I bought it (used). But I don't regret a dollar of it. I think it is personal for those of us who love our cars. Viggens will be around for awhile, SPG's, or at least decent ones, are getting more scarce. It's kinda like putting plastic on your new couch, so the next owner will enjoy it... spend it and drive it now, but ultimately you will be the only one who can decide. No one will ever (except some of us) understand.
Below is what my 89 SPG looked like when I sold it last year with 308000 miles on it, was it worth my time and money? to me, always.
Cheers,
Tom
