not even my 9-5! Every car will cost you something to maintain it, and the newer it is, the more expensive parts will be (a replacement engine for a 9-5 Aero runs over $4k from Goldwing).
You have put a ton into the SPG. I have put a ton into mine, too! Was it worth it? Sure. Did I get the expected performance gains for the money and time spent? Hell no! I am not as skilled as Jak/Brad, etc., but this was a huge learning experience for me, (note: one I am not likely to repeat on a street car!). You, too, have realized this educational gain from the continuous challenge posed by the C900 turbo.
That said, I will never sell my SPG. Ever! My wife doesn't get it, but maybe that's the point. Anyway, I love it, I've poured myself into it, and it is a blast to drive (still faster than my 9-5 Aero!).
Bottom line: put the engine & turbo in, drive it for a while, and see if you can give it up after a year. Stop modifying it further, and get yourself a Viggen to play with; or hold out for your NSX. It is not economically or emotionally wise to sell an SPG into which you have poured so much cash, time, sweat, and effort. Owning a modified C900 is a virus I know I cannot shake!
