I would say get the Viggen and keep the SPG if you can.

Good SPGs are getting hard to find. If yours is good, keep it. You will see some depreciation getting a Viggen now, but they are new enough that you can get a really nice one and keep it that way, and they have depreciated enough that it is not that hard to swallow (consider that for the $15K-$20K you spend on a 3-5 year old Viggen, you could get a new Saturn--man the Viggen seems like a bargain!).

As for money spent on the 1990 SPG--I've owned it for several years and am the second owner. I looked around for a long time to find a really good one. The first owner was almost the proverbial little old lady that drives to church on Sunday. Despite its duty as my daily driver for many years, it still has only 90K miles on it. I put about 4K miles per year on it now and I spend on average less than $1000 per year on maint. Even when I drove it about 8K miles per year, I didn't really spend over $1500 per year on it.
