I have the handsfree cable [P/N 12801584, on the package; P/N 12801583 on the cable!] for the 2005 9-3 Arc with the Driver's Package. Instructions with the cable give the functions for each of the nine wires to which you must wire a plug for your cellphone or for a handsfree cradle. The problem is the phone manufacturers won't give out the pinout info for the phones, or a plug to use same. I talked yesterday with both a wireless phone tech and with the local [Atlanta] Saab dealer service (again). The former said pinout info was proprietary and the makers kept it close-hold, even from phone service techs. The dealer said they had never wired in a phone to use the pre-wired handsfree function. Both dealer and phone tech said they'd be interested in anything I found out [!!!]. If anyone has a way to discern what to hook the wires to on any model phone for the 2005 9-3 I'd be interested. Been looking at Motorola V180 [GSM] but will consider anything. Now have a Nokia 5165 [TDMA] but need to upgrade. Thanks in advance for any help.
