Leased the Aero SC in October and like it a lot. Fuel economy is not what I was expecting though.Barely 30 on the highway and averaging low 20's. My 2002 9-5 Aero was better with identical power,( but 500 cc less displacement). Aero does include some amenities that you can buy on the bese model, but other items like sport seats and express up windows are only on the Aero. The Aero will have a bit taughter feel to it in steering response and handling and you really have to drive them back to back to appreciate that. I tried both before leasing, but usually prefer more( rather than less) options and gadgets on my cars,so went with the Aero. I have to say that the engine in the base model has plenty of power and Saab has done a lot to quiet it down and refine it in the years that this model has been out. By the way,if you have not tried the V-6, the exhaust has a boomy resonance in it when under load that you may or may not like. If you prefer quiet to noise, go with the Linear and just order whatever options you like and can get. I find the noise to be annoying, but like the smoothness of the engine in the Aero.
