I had a 96 9K Aero, 04 9-5 Aero, 06 9-3 Aero and now the TX. While the 9K was my first it was my favorite overall car. The 06 was fun to drive. I Then heard the exhaust note on the TX. While I really love the performance and handling, the rear doors seem light and cheap. The GM door handles I do not like. I always felt XWD was the one thing missing from SAAB.
I had the chance to get a 6-sp but it was more money with more miles. I made mine certified as I did with my 06 and was glad I did. The struts went out on my 06 at 60K. I have noticed that the fan is staying on longer as the temperatures have hit mid 80's.
If you like SAABs you will like the car. While I am sure you can get better performance and not run premium gas for about same or less, I prefer my TX.
Bonus is the wife loves it and wants to drive it all the time.
