I decided to bite the bullet and try it out myself.

Long story short: I got a SUPER cheap 2009 XWD 2.0T. It had been hit on the side but the doors and fender took the damage and I replaced them. Mechanically it is sound, it runs, has full-service records.

I purchased an XTS differential, which is the same found in the Turbo X and any other eLSD equipped Saab, 2.0T or 2.8T,

I found an RDCM, part no:12811304 (for cars with eLSD)

I found an ECM ending in 225 (XWD specific) and two different .BIN files from 2009/10 Aeros equipped with eLSD.

After installed the XTS diff with the module, I keep getting a mechanical whirring sound and a service XWD message, Tech II says it can't communicate with the RDCM.

In theory, I think I have all I need? Diff, Saab module for cars with eLSD, stock T8 dump from a car with eLSD.

I haven't played with SPS but the only other thing I can think of is maybe there's something in the harness that isn't there? There's so little information out there on this stuff.

Everything bolts up the same way, I'm just stuck on this part. I may have to just bolt up the original differential and give up on the idea but if anyone had any advice, I'm all ears.

Update:

Tried SPS for the heck of it, I get an "Unknown software" error when trying to reprogram RDCM.
