Another update: Part numbers are sort of all over the place for the Haldex modules. Even the units themselves will have stickers on top of stickers. I purchased a Haldex module that was listed as for a 9-3 XWD with eLSD NEW. Peeling the stickers revealed 20957831AA/1335048, possibly Opel/NG9-5 hence the no comm/incompatible software. Even stranger is I purchased ANOTHER NEW Haldex module with part number 12811304 listed as for 9-3s between 09-11 with XWD and eLSD equipped. Neither of these worked (obviously)
I went on a Swedish parts auction site, 12845060 is off a 9-3x, this number also showed up on SaabCentral from someone with an eLSD equipped car. One was a 2.0T and the other 2.8, both had the same Haldex module number, which tells me that these likely aren't exclusively dependant on the ECM at the front, so long as the ECM on either engine is mapped for XWD.
So....I found a used module with 12845060 as a part number from either a 9-3x/or 9-3 Aero 2.8. Gonna try it. Quitting on this whole swap after this. Time is running out for how long I can keep the car and donor in the driveway and I still have a strut tower to replace :(
