Don't forget if you reset the code or pull the battery terminal, the car will run fine for about 3 times before it notices the 2nd "throttle position checking signal #2" does not agree with the primary sensor #1 readback thus setting the limp home mode (pending code) again.
If you have a TECH 2, you can see the voltage run in real time for throttle sensor #1 and #2 into the ECU. One can also see if there is any "blips" (voltage discontinuity) in the voltage causing the fault or the voltage is missing. Remember the voltage span are opposite between the sensors and sensor #2 has a lower voltage span, so they will move in opposite direction on the Tech2. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it is not the ECU, but I like to see something other than a code which tells me the "checking" input throttle sensor voltage is missing or has faulty voltage blips to the ECU and then blame the ECU.
If the ECU shows it is not seeing the sensor voltage but you see it on the voltmeter, then I would say, yep it's the ECU.
I have a 06 Wagon myself as one of my SAABs. If you decide to go ahead with getting the ECU, I can help with the programming of your provided spare for your vehicle. I also have spare ECUs but unfortunately can't do anything until ~ Aug 15th. At that time I could also pretest a spare on my own wagon before sending if needed. Got to keep the SAABs on the road.
