I am the original owner of a '03 9-3 SS Arc 6 speed, 37K miles. Alternator was never replaced. I have a Bluetooth radio transmitter type of device in the cigarette light in order to steam music from my iPhone. It shows 14.5 - 14.7 for a few seconds each time at start up. A year or so ago I began hearing distorted sounds from the front door speakers, but this was after (stupidly) trying a direct jump start from my daughter's car to my car. I had always removed the battery connectors when doing that for many years, but that one time I thought hey let's skip that step. In that case I had to replace the AMP1 under the driver's seat to get things back to normal. Not saying this is what's occurring with your car. In my case it was solid distortion in those front door speakers and I had to pan to the back speakers temporarily in order to listen to music.
