Suffer from way more squeeks than a hatch. Instead of just the hatch rubbing against the frame, the whole roof is! I don't have a 9-3, but I have '96 900SE which supposedly is less of a car than the 9-3. I don't have hardly any squeeks, very few rattles (nothing in the hatch at all) and it has never ever needed a repair, only oil changes and normal maintenance. I suspect your 9-3 maybe isn't the best in the world. I don't know how much experiece you've had with other Saabs (like many of us here), but before you go blaming Saab, ever possibly think that your car possibly isn't the best example? Did you buy it new or used? I also have a 9K, which, in my opiion, is a much better car than the 900, and I like it better than any 9-3 that I've driven. Oh yea, and the acceleration in your car is better than most on the road (not from a stop) so maybe you should get it checked out if you think it's that bad. Or buy a Porsche.
