. . . which is a nice car, other than the fact that it's horribly underpowered (120 hp).
The best comparison story from me is the 1990 Acura Integra I bought after I graduated from law school - still the only new car I've ever bought. I liked the Integra a lot, until I hit an ice patch on I-35 north of Wichita in late Dec. '92 (or early Jan. '93). Acura artificially built steering feel into the car -- they increased steering effort, but it didn't really have any relationship to how hard it was to steer the car in particular conditions. Which is why I didn't notice I was driving on a sheet of ice, and narrowly avoided a dangerous accident as a result.
I don't know if Acura has more realistic steering feel these days or not. But I do know that the most accurate feedback I've ever gotten from a steering wheel was in my 1975 Saab 99 LE Wagonback (in hunter green) -- the car I traded in to buy the Integra, which is a decision I regret every time I visit the 99 forum here on Saabnet.
