Last trip to LA from SF on I-5. 2002 Linear 185 HP. Driving in right lane (Duh, if Americans know what lane discipline is), Avalon approaching fast in left. Avalon passes and I pull out to follow, leaving a good 4 - 5 car lengths, Sport Mode necessary, pedal half way down. Do this for about 8 - 10 minutes = 18 miles (Adds up). Then an idiot 18 wheeler, going all of 62 mph pulls out to pass another 18 wheeler doing 60 mph. We bunch up, break free of pack and hit speeds of 115 - 120 mph and Avalon still pulling away. He had to be doing 130 - 140 mph. Saying 375 mi / 75 mph = 5 hrs, 375 mi / 90 mph = 4 hrs 10 min. I can go 4 hrs 10 min without a pit(ss)stop, 5 hrs can be tough!
The speed alarm used to be set at 85 mph but would keep going off on our trips from Walnut Creek to San Jose, so now it is just off.
