The depreciation is offset by actual market value of the vehicle. Plus, you have not been driving your car for free for the past ten months, right? You were paying each month for a vehicle which is now not drivable because of a Saab problem, not yours. You've already paid your initial fees for a car which they have determined as defective, thus replacement of such vihicle is their resposibilty. Why should you pay for a car twice? Besides, they will take your "Lemon", repair it to proper specs and then resell it for further profit.
The only justifyable charge is registration and licence which is usually around $1500. Everything else is for dealer profit! You should also request the Saab Owners Loyalty discount for $1000.00. This applies to registered Saab Owners, which you are, who wish to purchase/lease a new Saab. This amount should be subtracted from the previously mentioned fees.
Don't give in so easy to people who are trying to sqeeze you for EXTRA money which you are not bound to pay.
Good Luck.
