Dennis,
I originally had an order for two sets of Akebonos but tire rack did not fill my order and then gave me a 10/7 12/31 ETA so I looked elsewhere...
I put PBR (Axxis) Ultimate Ceramics on the back, $45 at thesaabsite.com. I also put on new rotors from eeuroparts.com. My Aero used to be weak with the rears at 5% and the fronts at 30% left, not today, bites like a [BLEEEP]!
Initial pedal feel is so so, but when you apply more pressure the PBR ceramics stop the Aero in short order (as well as any adjacent busses, semis, birds, overhead subway trains and the earth's rotation) I did notice a hint of squeal a day or two after I had them put on as well as a definite grunt when stopping from 40mph.... I asked my mechanic to torque but he couldnt find his wrench so I'll have them torqued in 3K miles after my tire rotation.
Looking to get Akebonos for front soon.
