My .02 worth - Saab has made some really ugly cars in the past (the 9000 comes to mind). No one likes change, but Saab will die if something isn't done. I see all these comparisons with Saturn and Chevy - what about the safety factor? Very few cars are as safe as our 9-5 and none are safer than a 9-3. I think GM needs to price the cars accordingly so they will compare well with cars in their price range. They also need to emphasize saftey (like Volvo) and how well our cars handle in the snow without 4 wheel drive (remember the early 80's when Saab was the ultimate ski car?). Gas mileage is another plus - what other luxury sedan will give you 30mpg? Saabs will never appeal to the "geneal" public, but if the marketing dopes do their job perhaps more will consider. If more buy, GM can invest more money and make an even better car.
