GM is hopeless...

If GM can't turn themselves around to compete with Japanese automakers, or Ford's new lineup, then the future looks bleak for SAAB. Something is seriously missing at GM.
Ford upheld Volvo's reputation quite well by keeping the brand autonomous and respected. Volvo has it's own unique styling and safety reputation, and my bet is that Ford had something to do with that.
SAAB, on the other hand, is loosing it's uniqueness. My co-workers make fun of the "Saab-aru" and the "new and improved trailblazer"
Has anyone seen Ford's lineup next to GM's? Where did the Ford 500 come from?? and what does GM have that compares?! Ford is moving forward in this world...
GM is turning SAAB into an American car that doesn't hold the same respect it once did, and we are again seeing it with this updated 9-5.
I'd rather see SAAB die off and almost disapear and then have a company come in a revitalize it, just like we saw with the Mini Cooper.
