All aboard!
My Aero is on commuter duty during the strike... :)
I've been told I have the best ride around; hands down.
Pickup 7:30 AM in Brooklyn, then through Dunkin Donuts, next clear the HOV4 Checkpoint to enter highway, battery tunnel into the city, loop around Battery park, head uptown via FDR drive, enter city "guts" on 23rd and crawl to midtown via 6th avenue dropping off passangers. This bus stops on 38th and 8th avenue. Way back via West Side highway over the Brooklyn bridge and then local streets to bypass traffic on the Gowanus. The crew is assembled, $15 R/T charge, money pot in compartment in center console.
Today I had the rear arm rest down and 2 + 2. Tomorrow I'm taking another desperate passanger which makes five. The driver (me!) and two passangers are over 200lbs...I'm worried about bottoming out! I live in NYC and the potholes can be brutal. Today, with four people in the car, I gunned it off a light and the car responded nicely. Dont know what an extra 200 pounds will do though...I'm running Avon M550 all seasons, I think the load rating on them is 94. What does that mean? I'm heading out to the gas station tonight to inflate the tires up to the recommended 5pass. door plate PSI.
What do you think gang?
Tom
PS- Scott Patterson, if you could unblock my SaabSpeed account that would be great, I've contacted via email but no luck. I wanted to post a link to a product and I tried editing it according to rules three times - with no success. :/
Thanks,
T
