At least that's what the service dept at Charles River Saab told me last spring. When the high-ethanol gas goes into service it takes the ECU a little while to adjust. Then it'll run fine until fall when winter gas kicks in. So last spring I ignored it and sure enough after a month or so the problem vanished.

That said, if there is some other potential problem that has the same symptom I'd love to know what it is, my '01 LPT took 3 cranks to start this morning and I'd love to fix it with some new part.
