I did cross drilled Zimmermanns and Akebono Euro pads on the front nearly 1-1/2 years ago and I could have probably never washed the front wheels the whole time!!! I previously had some other supposedly "ceramic" pads with Brembo rotors and the rotors just got eaten up and made plenty of black dust. If the rear rotors weren't as new, I'd swap them out too for the same front combo.
One question I do have is whether I don't do much "heavy" braking, since my front rotors are never really metallic shiny and slightly gray brown in color..
Do yourself a great favor and go with the Akebone and Zimmerman combo.!!
