Yeah, when the dealer does it I bet they would remove the intercooler and clean it out. That's probably why they wanted $2500 to do mine (I'm well out of warranty with about 172k miles). I'm going as cheap as possible so I'm just having my indy do the bare minimums. I'll see how much it smokes once I have the car back and decide whether or not I want to get into cleaning it out. As long as I don't look like a mosquito fogging truck after hitting the gas I won't mine. I figured a little water wouldn't be terrible for the engine. I've seen Youtube videos where people plug in a water bottle to their throttle body to clean out the injectors and cylinders and stuff. Just lots of white steam out the tail pipe.
