On LPTs the puny Garrett GT17 often blows seals - causing oil to get into the system. If enough oil gets in it might foul the plugs causing the WOT & idle problems.
You could do an easy test of the theory - with a warm car - change the plugs with new ones & see if it temporairly works better - not long before they foul but see if that is the issue.
If the turbo is bad - you would need to rebuild or replace it. However if it was my car - I would use the opportunity to trade out to the Td04 turbo from the aero ( more power potential & definately more robust).
