Just want to add one more thought. After doing pads and rotors front and back on my 2003 9-5 Aero, I had a very soft pedal even after bedding the pads. My local Indy friend told me to lock up the ABS, that is trigger it to work under very hard stops. Did this 3-4 times and the pedal is now rock solid. Just a comment on what worked for my particular case.
