The tables do seem accurate in terms of ride height versus camber, but many cars I have checked are not at the specified ride height. Clearly something is throwing many cars out of ride height spec and in turn camber spec. Since camber is linked to ride height, my conclusion is that the ride height is not being maintained unloaded. The only way it seems that could happen is for some parts to permanently sag/deform. Folks are selling themselves short by putting in shims which temporarily mask the camber issue without addressing the ride height. Everyone should be demanding a permanent fix from Saab. I'm still waiting to hear back from NHTSA who may be investigating (I haven't gotten an update from my contact) and Saab who I've been pressuring to fix my car.
My guess if you are out to -2.2 degrees is that you have subframe deformation. You would know for certain by putting in new springs and measuring camber. If it is still significantly off, the subframe has failed. Replacing it will put the car back to like new until it fails again.
